Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Necati ÇOBAN has been appointed to the WG2, WG3, and WG4 working groups of the COST Action CA24163 – Modelling Cross-Sectoral Cascading Climate Impacts on Europe to Design Coherent Policy Responses (CROSS-CASCADE).
The COST Action CROSS-CASCADE aims to advance scientific understanding of how climate change impacts propagate across sectors, regions, and national borders through interconnected systems such as trade networks, supply chains, financial markets, and migration flows. Moving beyond traditional climate impact assessments that focus solely on local biophysical effects, the Action seeks to develop integrated approaches capable of capturing cascading climate impacts and their socio-economic consequences for Europe.
Within this framework, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Necati ÇOBAN has been appointed to the following working groups:
WG2 – Connecting Climate Impact Transmission Chain Models with Biophysical Climate Impact Data
WG3 – Coherent Policies for Adaptation to Cross-Sectoral, Cascading Climate Impacts
WG4 – Storylines and Policy Simulations for Understanding Cascading Climate Impacts
